THE TIME CHALLENGE

ORGANISE YOUR TIME AROUND WORKING FROM HOME

In these uncertain times, many people are looking for a backup income wether it be a second or third income is immaterial, the major problem is finding the time to do this position justice.

Extra time can usually be found for a business based in the home. Maybe you will have to give up that drink after work, and be very selective about what you watch on TV (only the absolute favourite programmes). However if you put in the effort and your extra income making business succeeds, then you will have all the time to do whatever you wish.

The secret is in the list. Each evening before going to bed make a detailed list of the things you are going to do the next day, don't deviate from that list and try and stay within the time frames allocated. Organise trips to the store around doing other chores, like mail, appointments, hair cuts and the daily chores. Be conscious of the time spent talking aimlessly on the telephone, reduce the calls to essentials and cut back on hot air time.

Home maintenance, cleaning and cooking can all be alocated a time, stick to it, don't get sidetracked. Plan to do one extra thing a day for one hour, wether it be inside or in the yard, maybe tending to those vegetables in the vegepatch or fixing a leaking tap. If the job requires more than the allotted time, divide it over several days.

Take care of your mail as you receive it. Pay bills or file visably noting payment date due, or when you are able to pay them. Answer all correspondence immediately.

The better organised we become the happier and more productive we are and you will find that there will be ample time for your home based business. You will find that most successful people are very organised, so start getting those lists together, wake up each morning knowing what you have to do, don't get sidetracked or procrastinate about it, making excuses, just do what is on your list, be realistic about time frames and attend to each item immediately, marking it off as completed as you go.

To keep your life in balance be sure to set aside time for relaxation and spending time with you family and friends. Set aside time with loved ones, especially your spouce and children. There is not much point in having that extra income if you can't balace your work-life profile.

Start to take notice of the time you waste and how much time you spend just not starting something that will probably only take 10 minutes. As you start to utilise your non productive times, you will find that you have plenty of time to attend to working from home, and the extra income will remove the stress, you will feel great fulfillment and satisfaction, thus you and you family will find happiness.
